DataWind launches PocketSurfer 2G4X, PocketSurfer 3G4Z Smartphones With One-Year Free Internet

DataWind launches PocketSurfer 2G4X, PocketSurfer 3G4Z Smartphones: Low-cost handset maker Datawind has launched two low-budget smartphones – PocketSurfer 2G4X and PocketSurfer 3G4Z. The devices are priced at Rs 2,499 and Rs 3,999 respectively.

The devices come bundled with unlimited free Internet browsing for a period of one year on Reliance and Telenor networks. Both the smartphones are now available for purchase through a number of offline retailers in the country. The devices are also available to buy via PocketSurfer website.



Speaking about the specs list, the DatawWind PocketSurfer 2G4X sports a 3.5-inch display with 320×480 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A5 processor paired with 256MB of RAM. It also includes 512MB of ROM which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. It features a VGA rear camera and front camera. The connectivity options on the device include 2G, EDGE, WiFi and Bluetooth.

Speaking about the specs of the DataWind PocketSurfer 3G4Z, it features a 4-inch display with 480×800 pixels resolution. The handset is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex A7 processor paired with 512MB RAM. It also packs an internal storage of 4GB which is further expandable up to 32GB via a miroSD card. The device comes equipped with a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera. It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system. The connectivity options bundled with the smartphone include 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
