Xiaomi India is all set to launch the Redmi 3S in India. The Chinese Smartphone manufacturer has now sent media invites and confirming. This smartphone price and availability will be at 12pm IST on Wednesday 3rd Aug 2016.

This time the event will be live streamed on the company's website. The Redmi 3S smartphone was launched in China back in June 2016. This phone came in two variants based on memory and inbuilt storage. (1) 2GB of RAM with 16GB of inbuilt storage model is priced at CNY 699 (approximately Rs. 7,000). (2) 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage model is priced at CNY 899 (approximately Rs. 9,000).

Actually the Xiaomi Redmi 3S is variant of the Redmi Note 3. This phone also has the fingerprint scanner at the back. It also supports a hybrid dual-SIM (Micro + Nano, dual stand-by) slot, and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop-based MIUI 7. The features of this phone is a 5-inch HD (1280x720 pixels) IPS display with 16M colors, and packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.1GHz and the Adreno 505 GPU.

The Redmi 3S comes with 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), f/2.0 aperture, HDR mode, 1080p video recording, and LED flash. There is also a 5-megapixel selfie camera with 1080p video recording capability. The handset is packed by a 4100mAh battery. Dimension of this phone is 139.3x69.6x8.5mm and weighs is 144 grams.

Connectivity options on the handset include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth, Glonass and Micro-USB with OTG Support. The Xiaomi Redmi 3S was available in Grey, Silver, and Gold colour options in China. India will be the first overseas market to get the Redmi 3S smartphone after its initial launch in the home country.
