Microsoft Lumia 650 with Windows 10 on board officially confirmed

Off late a new Microsoft mid-range smartphone dubbed the Lumia 650 has been the centre of leaks when it comes to Windows 10 powered smartphones. The alleged smartphone first got leaked a few days back thanks to a number of renders of the upcoming smartphone.



While the previous report had included the alleged specs of the smartphone along with the official renders, there was no confirmation regarding the existence of the Windows powered smartphone. However Microsoft CMO, Chris Capossela gave an indirect hint regarding the existence of the Lumia 650 in a recent Windows Weekly Podcast.

 In the process of answering a question from ZDNet's Mary Jo Foley, Chris stated, "they had not announced a release date yet," thereby giving a vital hint regarding the existence of the device. He was however adept enough to not give any time frame for the official launch of the Lumia 650 smartphone.



For those unaware the Microsoft Lumia 65o is reported to sport a 5 inch HD (1280x720p) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 quad core SoC, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. In terms of camera the Lumia 650 sports 8MP rear unit equipped with LED Flash and a 5MP front facing selfie snapper. As per previous reports the Microsoft Lumia 650 is expected to launch either in January or February next year.
